Ovulation Calculator

Ovulation is when an ovary releases an egg — your most fertile time. This free ovulation calculator estimates your ovulation day and fertile window from the first day of your last period and your average cycle length.

How to Use This Calculator

  1. Enter the first day of your last period.
  2. Enter your average cycle length in days (28 is typical; normal range is 21–35).
  3. Click Calculate Fertile Window to see your estimated ovulation day and 6-day fertile window.
Method:
Ovulation ≈ LMP + (cycle length − 14 days)
Fertile window = 5 days before ovulation through 1 day after (sperm survive up to 5 days).

Worked Example

LMP: September 1, 2026, 28-day cycle. Ovulation ≈ Sep 1 + 14 days = September 15, 2026. Fertile window: September 10–16, 2026.

Our Testing Process

Every DaProfitClub calculator is tested before publishing. We verify date arithmetic against calendar calculations, test different cycle lengths (21–35 days), and confirm the tool works on desktop and mobile browsers. Health methods are cross-checked against medical references.

Frequently Asked Questions

How accurate is the calendar method?

It is an estimate based on averages. Actual ovulation varies; ovulation predictor kits or basal body temperature tracking are more precise for conception planning.

Can I get pregnant outside the fertile window?

Pregnancy is unlikely but not impossible, especially with irregular cycles. The fertile window covers the days pregnancy is most likely.

What if my cycles are irregular?

Use your shortest and longest recent cycles to find a range, or track ovulation symptoms. Consult a healthcare provider if trying to conceive with very irregular cycles.

How long does the egg survive?

About 12–24 hours after ovulation. Sperm can survive up to 5 days, which is why the fertile window starts 5 days before ovulation.
